Who can see what I post?
By default, your host and all the people in your event can see everything you text back to the host’s number. Not the public, however, and not people in another event. But if you want to take part quietly, you can change your privacy settings in the app so that whatever you post and text is not visible to anyone else in the event, including the host. Regardless of your privacy settings, replies will still count towards your earnback.
Does my host get my phone number?
No, and you do not get your host’s number. Texts come from a WayBetter number, and when you text back, your message appears in the event feed where your host can reply to it. They never see your cellphone number or your email address.
Can I use the texting channel to chat with my host privately?
No. Hosts cannot answer texts with a text. They can, however, answer you in the app as your texts show up in the social feed for the group, where the host can read it and reply. Note that hosts may not read and reply to everything. And if you set your submissions to private not even the hosts will be able to read them.
What about my medical information?
WayBetter is not a healthcare company and we do not want your health information. We never ask for your medication, your dose, your diagnosis, or your numbers. Your host has no access to any of your sensitive medical information either, and we ask that you keep your private information private. Remember that by default what you post is visible to other people in your group, so use judgment about how much you share.
Can I delete something I posted?
Sure, anytime. If you do not see the option in-app, please email our team at support@waybetter.app.
